Questions

Is there a desktop app?

Yes, for Windows and macOS. It is the terminal in its own window, with the tab strip and global search, and it updates itself from the release feed.

Is there a mobile app?

Not yet. It is being built, and the download page names the date when there is one. The web app already works in a phone browser in the meantime.

Do I need the desktop app to use the journal?

No. Everything works in the browser on a free account. The desktop app is the same product in a window, for people who would rather not keep a tab open.

Is the app free?

Yes to start. A free account logs unlimited trades on one trading account with tags, notes and screenshots, on the web and on the desktop. Pro is $18 a month or $149 a year and adds broker sync and verified trades.

Does my data follow me between devices?

Yes. The journal lives with your account, not on the machine, so a trade logged on the desktop is on the web when you open it there.

Can I run DT Terminal from Claude?

Soon. We are building an MCP connector that opens the whole of DT Terminal to Claude: every workspace and every piece of your data, to read and to act on, with your consent per scope. It works with any assistant that speaks MCP, and it is in development, not live yet.
