1) Eligibility and Account

• You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter these Terms. You must also meet any higher age or eligibility requirement that applies where you live.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, using a unique password, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer an account, create deceptive duplicate accounts, or use another person’s credentials without authority.

2) The Service

DT Journal is a trading-improvement and journaling service. Features may include trade logging, broker sync, backtesting, journaling, analytics, AI-assisted review, public track records, community tools, affiliate services, DT Scholarships, and reminders or notifications. Availability, limits, and eligibility can vary by plan, location, platform, and provider.

We may update or retire features for security, legal, provider, or product reasons. We will provide reasonable notice before a material reduction to a paid Service where practicable, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

3) Communications and Marketing

We may send communications needed to operate your account. Marketing is a separate, optional choice:

• Essential account and transactional emails (e.g., sign-up confirmation, password resets, security alerts, and billing). These are required to operate your account and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
• Product updates, newsletters, tips, and offers only if you separately opt in. You can withdraw that choice at any time using the unsubscribe link or the email control in Settings.

Opting out of marketing emails does not stop essential account and transactional emails. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your contact information.

4) Not Financial Advice

DT Terminal is provided for informational and journaling purposes only. DT Terminal does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Any analytics, insights, or summaries are not guarantees of performance. You are solely responsible for your trading and investment decisions.

5) User Content and Ownership

• "User Content" includes trades, notes, reflections, screenshots, attachments, tags, AI prompts, posts, comments, messages, profile material, testimonials, and other content you submit.
• You retain ownership of your User Content.
• You grant DT Journal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and provide features you request. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups, legal retention, and copies another user lawfully received.
• You control whether eligible content is private, shared, or public. Public content may be indexed, copied, or reshared by others. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
• We may moderate, restrict, or remove content that violates these Terms, infringes rights, creates safety or legal risk, or disrupts the Service.

6) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive activities.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Upload malware or interfere with the Service's operation.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
• Circumvent security or access controls (including rate limits).
• Scrape personal data, impersonate others, harass users, post unlawful or infringing content, manipulate verified records, or use automated access without written permission.

7) Subscriptions, Payments, Credits, and Billing

Paid plans and credit packs are processed through Stripe unless checkout says otherwise:

• Prices, billing frequency, and plan features will be displayed before purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew for the selected monthly or annual period until canceled. You authorize recurring charges, including applicable taxes, using your saved payment method.
• You can cancel in Settings before renewal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; access continues until then unless a refund or legal rule requires otherwise.
• Credits, allowances, and promotional benefits may expire or reset as shown at purchase and have no cash value. Recurring credit packs renew until canceled.
• Except where law, checkout terms, or an express guarantee requires otherwise, charges already incurred are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory refund, cooling-off, or consumer rights.
• We may change future prices or plan features with reasonable advance notice. A price change applies no earlier than a later renewal unless you expressly agree otherwise.

8) Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third parties including authentication, payment, AI, broker-sync, analytics, hosting, email, and market and economic data providers. Their availability and conduct are outside our control, and your direct relationship with them is governed by their terms and policies.

Broker sync is optional. Use read-only or investor access and disable trading and withdrawals. Supported exchange API secrets are stored with server-side authenticated encryption until you disconnect or delete the account. MetaTrader investor passwords are provided to MetaApi to operate the connection and are not persisted in DT Journal’s own database. You authorize us and the selected provider to access and import the account data needed for sync. You remain responsible for revoking access at the broker or exchange if you suspect compromise.

AI features send the prompt and relevant context to our AI provider. Generated content can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and you should check important facts before relying on it.

Connected AI assistants. DT Terminal Connect is separate from the AI features built into the Service. When you connect an assistant you are granting an application that we did not write and do not operate access to your account through our API. The consent screen is where you choose what each connection may read and whether it may write anything at all; a connection starts read-only and every write permission is a tick you add yourself. A connected assistant can only ever reach your own profile, journal, backtests, and connected-account records. It cannot read or post community content, and it cannot read or send chat messages: those permissions were withdrawn on September 16, 2026, because they covered writing by other members who cannot consent through your account. Registration of these applications is open, so the name, website, and logo an application displays are chosen by whoever registered it and are not verified by us. Check the address shown on the consent screen before you approve a connection, and deny anything you did not start yourself.

Data covered by the permissions you approve is transmitted to that application and to the AI provider operating it. It leaves the Service at that point and is processed under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours. We are not a party to your relationship with them and do not control what they retain, train on, or disclose.

If you grant write permissions, the assistant can create, change, and delete records in your account, including trades, journal entries, and backtests. Actions taken by an assistant you connected are treated as your own actions and you remain responsible for them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for content a connected assistant creates, alters, or deletes, for data it discloses to its provider, or for any trading decision influenced by it. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. You can review and disconnect any connection at any time in Settings, Connected AI, and you should disconnect immediately if you no longer trust the application.

Market and economic data is supplied by third-party data providers. Some of it is retrieved through the FRED® API, and by using DT Terminal you agree to be bound by the FRED® API Terms of Use. The providers we use, and the notices they require us to publish, are listed on Data sources.

9) Security and Data

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Do not upload credentials into journals, community posts, chat, AI prompts, or support messages. Our Privacy Policy explains credential storage, optional telemetry, retention, and deletion.

10) Termination

• You may stop using the Service, cancel a subscription, export available trade data, or request account deletion at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or used the Service unlawfully.
• On account deletion we attempt to revoke broker access, remove stored files and user-owned records, and delete authentication. Limited billing, fraud, dispute, and deletion-audit records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

11) Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, DT Terminal disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• DT Terminal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• DT Terminal's total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to DT Terminal in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you have not paid, a nominal amount).

These exclusions and limits do not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited and mandatory consumer remedies.

13) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the DT Journal legal operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction, but mandatory consumer law may let you bring a claim elsewhere. Contact us for the operator’s registered identity, service address, and governing jurisdiction.

14) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised date and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes. Changes normally apply prospectively. If law requires express acceptance, we will request it before the revised Terms apply to you.
