Backtesting
Pick a market and a date, step the chart forward, and trade it on charts we built ourselves. When the run ends the stats sit in the same journal as your real trades.

How it works
Choose the instrument and where in history to start. Jump to any moment you want to study.
Step forward one bar at a time and place entries, stops and targets as if it were live.
Win rate, expectancy and drawdown for the idea, and the trades saved where your live record lives.
Jump to time
Jump straight to a news release, a session open or a setup you remember, instead of scrolling through weeks of quiet chart.

Session stats
Every simulated trade is logged with its R multiple, so a session ends with numbers rather than a feeling.

Backtest, forward test, live
The same setup moves from the backtester to a forward test to a broker-synced live account, and the verified record at the end is the one a funder can check.

Questions
A free account gets 2 full sessions to try it, with up to 50 trades in each. Pro, at $18 a month, removes every cap and keeps sessions forever.
Real historical candles for the forex pairs, indices, crypto and futures in the app, on charts DT Terminal built rather than an embed. Coverage grows as data partners are added.
A replay on a charting site ends when you close the tab. Here every simulated trade is logged with its R multiple, the session has stats, and on Pro the trades export into the same Trade Log as your live ones, so the backtest and the live record can be compared.
Yes. On Pro a session can be linked to a strategy in your Playbook, and each trade is checked against the rules you wrote down.
A completed and reviewed backtest session is one of the three things the scholarship application asks for, beside ten logged trades and a 14-day logging streak.
Edge reads the results of a session, answers questions about it with your numbers, and suggests what to test next. It does not trade for you.
Soon. We are building an MCP connector that opens the whole of DT Terminal to Claude: every workspace and every piece of your data, to read and to act on, with your consent per scope. It works with any assistant that speaks MCP, and it is in development, not live yet.
Two sessions are free. Bring a setup you believe in and find out.
Essential storage keeps DT Terminal working. Optional: product analytics and 60-day referral attribution. Change it any time in our Privacy Policy.
