Trading verification · OKX

Prove your OKX trading, then improve it.

Connect OKX with a read-only API key and your live trades arrive with a verified seal, their fees and funding attached. The journal around that record is where you find the setup that pays and drop the one that does not.

How it works

  1. 01

    Make a read-only key

In OKX, create an API key with Read permission only, leaving Trade and Withdraw off, and set a passphrase for it. OKX then shows you the key and its secret.

  2. 02

    Paste all three in

On Pro, pick OKX, paste the API key, the secret and the passphrase, and keep the environment on Live. Your recent fills start coming in.

  3. 03

    Read the record

Every synced trade carries the verified seal. Tag the setup, and win rate and expectancy break down by pair, hour and setup.

Verified

Your OKX history, with proof it happened.

A fill read from OKX through your key is marked verified on your record and your public page. A trade you type in is marked self-reported, so a reader can tell the two apart at a glance.

  • Seal on fills from a Live key
  • Typed trades labelled self-reported
  • One public record to link to
The proof page: a Broker-Verified live account with its recent verified trades, above a self-reported challenge.

Insights

Where the OKX account makes and loses money.

Filter by pair, hour, weekday or setup and the numbers recompute. Fees and funding sit on the trade, so a perp held through funding shows what it really cost.

  • By pair, hour, weekday and setup
  • Fees converted into the quote currency
  • Funding matched to the perp that paid it

Backtester

Replay the setup before the next OKX trade.

Step a BTC or ETH chart forward one bar at a time, place simulated entries and exits, and keep the results in the same journal as the synced trades.

  • Real historical candles
  • Entries, stops and targets on the replay
  • Backtests export to your Trade Log on Pro

Questions

Why does OKX need a passphrase as well as the key?

OKX makes you set a passphrase whenever you create an API key, and it goes with the key and secret on every request. DT Terminal asks for all three and will not connect without the passphrase. It is the one you chose for the key, not your OKX login password.

What comes across from OKX?

Your fills, paired into trades, with the trading fee on each. Funding on perpetuals is matched to the trade it was paid on, and cash or stablecoin deposits and withdrawals are recorded on the account. Coin-margined contracts are not imported yet, and the sync tells you when it skips one.

How is my OKX balance valued?

In cash and stablecoins only, at face value. While the account holds a coin such as BTC, DT Terminal will not guess its price, so the balance stops syncing and the connection says why. Your trades keep syncing either way.

Can I connect an OKX demo trading account?

Yes. Choose Sandbox instead of Live when you connect, and use a key made in OKX demo trading. Those trades sync into the journal but do not carry the verified seal, because no real money was at stake. Only a Live key earns the seal.

Do I need Pro to journal OKX trades?

Only for the sync. A free account can log OKX trades by hand or import them by CSV. Connecting the key, and the verified seal that comes with it, is Pro at $18 a month or $149 a year.

Can I run DT Terminal from Claude?

Soon. We are building an MCP connector that opens the whole of DT Terminal to Claude: every workspace and every piece of your data, to read and to act on, with your consent per scope. It works with any assistant that speaks MCP, and it is in development, not live yet.

Three strings from OKX turn the journal into proof.

Key, secret and passphrase, read-only. Logging by hand stays free.
