DT Terminal · Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 28, 2026

These Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the DT Terminal affiliate program (the "Program"). By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these Terms and to the DT Terminal Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not apply. We will give reasonable notice of material changes, which apply prospectively unless law requires express acceptance.

1) Eligibility and Application

  • You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a binding contract, and have a DT Terminal or affiliate-only account in good standing.
  • Participation is by application and is subject to review. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Applications start in a pending state and earn no commission until DT Terminal approves them and your status becomes active.
  • DT Terminal may approve, decline, suspend, or revoke any application at its sole discretion, including for suspected fraud, abuse, or brand risk.
  • You participate as an independent contractor. These Terms do not create an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship. You may not represent yourself as an employee or agent of DT Terminal, or make commitments on our behalf.

2) Referral Links and Attribution

  • On approval you receive a unique referral code and link (for example, https://www.thedtterminal.com/dt/YOURCODE).
  • Attribution is first-touch with a 60-day window. With the visitor’s permission, the referral is stored in a cookie and local storage. If the visitor rejects referral storage, link attribution is not retained; they can still enter your code manually at signup. An existing valid attribution is not overwritten.
  • Your unique code is a permanent fallback: a new user can enter it in the referral-code field when creating their account, even if they did not arrive through your link.
  • A referral is bound to the referred user, not to a single transaction. Commission continues for as long as that user maintains a qualifying paid subscription (see Section 3).

3) Commissions

  • Rate. You earn your tier's commission rate (20% for the Standard tier unless we notify you of a different rate; your current rate is always shown in your affiliate dashboard) of the net subscription revenue DT Terminal actually collects from each user you refer, recurring for the lifetime of that user's paid subscription (each renewal earns commission). The rate applied to each payment is the rate in effect at the time that payment is collected; already-accrued commissions are never re-rated.
  • Qualifying ("valid") sale. Commission accrues only on payments that are successfully collected and not refunded, reversed, or charged back. Commission is calculated on the amount successfully collected after discounts and coupons, excluding tax.
  • Holdback / clearing period. Each commission is held for 30 days from the date of the underlying payment before it becomes "payable." This protects against refunds and chargebacks.

Refunds, chargebacks & clawbacks. If a payment that generated a commission is fully refunded or charged back:

  • if the commission has not yet been paid out, it is voided (clawed back) and removed from your balance; or
  • if it has already been paid out, an equal negative adjustment is applied and offset against your future earnings.

You keep only commission on revenue that DT Terminal ultimately retains. Partial refunds reduce commission proportionally to the refunded amount.

4) Payouts

  • Schedule. Payouts are processed on a recurring monthly cycle (approximately every 30 days).
  • Minimum threshold. A payout is issued only when your cleared, payable balance is at least US$100 at the close of a cycle. If your balance is below $100, it carries over and accumulates toward future cycles until the threshold is met.
  • Payment rail. Payouts are made via Stripe Connect (Express). You must complete Stripe Express onboarding and keep a valid, active payout account. DT Terminal cannot pay you until onboarding is complete and your account is in good standing.
  • Currency & fees. Payouts are denominated in US dollars. You are responsible for any currency-conversion, banking, or third-party fees on your end.
  • Taxes. You are solely responsible for all taxes on commissions you receive and for providing any tax information legally required to receive payouts. Commissions are paid gross of any taxes owed by you.
  • Unclaimed / inactive accounts. If you do not complete payout onboarding or your account becomes inactive, unpaid balances may be withheld until resolved, subject to applicable law.

5) Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Self-refer: use your own referral link or code to obtain commission on your own account or accounts you control, or coordinate with others to do so.
  • Promote an affiliate link or code without a clear, conspicuous disclosure placed close to the endorsement or link, such as “I may earn a commission if you subscribe.” A profile-page disclosure alone is not enough for an individual post, video, email, or message.
  • Send commercial email, texts, direct messages, or use tracking technologies without the recipient’s permission and any notice, sender identification, unsubscribe method, or recordkeeping required by applicable law.
  • Use spam, unsolicited messaging, misleading claims, or false guarantees of trading profit or returns to promote DT Terminal.
  • Bid on DT Terminal trademarks or brand terms in paid search, impersonate DT Terminal, or operate sites or handles that imply you are DT Terminal.
  • Use cookie-stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, malware, or any technique that fabricates or manipulates attribution.
  • Offer unauthorized cash-back, rebates, or incentives that DT Terminal has not approved in writing.
  • Make any representation about DT Terminal, its features, or trading outcomes that is inaccurate or that we have not authorized.
  • Engage in any activity that is fraudulent, deceptive, illegal, or harmful to DT Terminal's users or brand.

6) Suspension, Revocation, and Termination

  • DT Terminal may suspend or terminate your participation, revoke unpaid commissions, and withhold or reverse payouts at any time if we reasonably determine you have breached these Terms or engaged in fraud or abuse.
  • Either party may end participation at any time. On termination, any cleared, validly earned commission already past its holdback period and above the threshold will be paid on the next applicable cycle, except where forfeited for breach or fraud.
  • DT Terminal reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program (including commission rates and thresholds) at any time. Material changes apply prospectively from the date they take effect.

7) No Warranty / Limitation of Liability

  • The Program is provided "as is." DT Terminal does not guarantee any minimum earnings, conversion rate, or referral volume.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, DT Terminal's total liability arising from the Program is limited to the total commissions validly payable to you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

8) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the DT Journal legal operator is established, subject to mandatory local law. Contact us for the operator’s registered identity, service address, and governing jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect, and failure to enforce is not a waiver.
