# Find out which Kraken pairs and hours pay.

Every spot fill Kraken reports arrives through a read-only API key with its fee attached, pulled from the exchange instead of typed in. Edge reads the record by pair, hour and setup and shows what to keep and what to cut.

Query-only API key

Ticked this way in Kraken

- Query funds On
- Query open orders and trades On
- Query closed orders and trades On
- Withdraw permissions Off
- Trade permissions Off

Needs API key and private key, no passphrase

Syncs Spot fills, with the fee on each

API key: no withdrawals, no trading Query only

Shows which pairs and hours to fix Edge

Exchanges sync, Kraken among them 10

Pro, per month $24

Synced fills land in the Trade Log with their fees.

How it works

1. **Make a query-only key**
In Kraken, create an API key and tick only the query permissions for funds, orders and trades. Leave every withdraw and trade permission unticked, so the key can read the account and cannot move money or place an order.
2. **Paste it in**
Pick Kraken and paste the API key, then the private key where the form asks for the secret. There is no passphrase, and the first sync starts as soon as the key is accepted.
3. **Read the record**
Each fill lands with its fee. Win rate, expectancy and drawdown recompute by pair, hour, weekday and setup, and Edge points at what to fix.

Results by hour

## Kraken trades around the clock. See which hours pay you.

Example

Example data, not a real result: expectancy in R for each hour of the day, net of the fee on each trade. Your own breakdown reads the fills your Kraken key syncs.

Verified

## Read from Kraken, not typed by you.

A fill synced from Kraken carries the verified seal on your record and on your public page, because DT Terminal read it from the exchange. A trade you log by hand stays marked self-reported, and that difference is what makes the seal worth showing.

- Verified seal on every synced fill
- A public record anyone can check
- Hand-logged trades marked self-reported

Analytics

## Which pair and which hour are paying for the rest.

Kraken trades around the clock, so the journal splits results by hour and weekday as well as by pair and setup. The fee comes off every synced result, so the net figure is the one your account felt.

- By pair, hour, weekday and setup
- Fees counted in the net result
- Equity curve and drawdown per account

Backtester

## Test the change before the next entry.

Jump the chart to a day you want to study, step it forward one bar at a time and trade it as if it were live. The session ends with win rate, expectancy and drawdown, not a feeling.

- Real historical crypto candles
- Jump to any date and time
- 2 sessions free, unlimited on Pro

FAQ

### Does DT Terminal sync with Kraken?

Yes. Kraken is one of 10 exchanges that connect through a read-only API key, and spot fills sync with their fees, each carrying the verified seal. A free account syncs one Kraken account into your journal hourly. Plus and Pro link more accounts and sync on demand.

### Which Kraken API permissions should I tick?

Only the query permissions: funds, open orders and trades, and closed orders and trades. Leave every withdraw and trade permission unticked. A key made that way lets DT Terminal read the account and nothing more, so it cannot move money or place, change or cancel an order.

### Where does the Kraken private key go?

Private key is Kraken's name for the secret half of the key. Paste the API key first, then the private key into the field marked secret. The connection asks for no passphrase.

### Why is my Kraken balance not syncing?

DT Terminal values a balance in US dollars and dollar stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, and never guesses a coin price. While the account holds BTC, ETH, euros or any other asset, the balance is not synced and the sync note says why. Your trades still sync as normal.

### Does Kraken Futures sync?

Not today. The connection reads your Kraken spot account, so futures positions do not arrive through it. Log them by hand or import them from a CSV, and they sit in the same journal marked self-reported.

## Tick the query boxes and let Kraken fill the record.

Free syncs one Kraken account into your journal. Plus and Pro add more accounts.
